Control System and Mechanism Design of the Self-propelled Electrostatic Sprayer

ABSTRACT:


It is a common phenomenon that crops and green plants are eroded by pests and germs in the production of agriculture, landscaping, roads with greening which are contacted with a large number of plants. There are many methods currently available to deal with this situation, such as, physical-mechanical control, biological control, chemical control and so on. The physical- mechanical control method uses the simple tools, temperature, heat, electricity, radiation, etc. to control pests and diseases. The biological control method is using the beneficial organisms and their metabolites to control pests and diseases. While the simple chemical control method is depended on the pesticide to avoid the plant from pests and diseases with high efficiency and fast speed especially for a large area of pest. In this paper, a self-propelled electrostatic sprayer is designed to meet the needs of the agriculture engineering. The machine can automatically detect the target, and then spraying the target directionally, which can minimize the contamination of the drug solution to the environment. In order to make human separate with machine in the course of their work and avoid physical injury in the process of liquid spraying, the walking body, turning body and working body of the machine are controlled by a wireless remote control system. The self-propelled electrostatic sprayer achieves the desired objectives and requirements.
